Dear Mr. Sutter,

I have been a fan of your creation, ‘Sons of Anarchy™’, since it first aired 7 years ago. As the years have passed, like many who have been enveloped by the story, I have seen the level of growth you have instilled in the characters you have put before us.  Recently I made the decision to ‘Cut the Cord’ and get rid of cable and go the route of ‘Internet Only’.  The only sadness I had at the time was I would not be able to view my favorite shows.  Then I found on Vudu that I could buy a season pass and own the episodes as they air. This made me very happy as I wouldn’t miss how your story ends.  The only drawback though is that I have to wait a full day after an episode airs to view it.  It kills me not to read spoilers or view ‘Anarchy Afterword’ until I have actually seen the show.

I just watched the most recent episode ‘Suits of Woe’.  This episode was different.  Like with most of the weekly displays and ending cliffhangers, one cannot help but be amazed by the images you have put on the screen.  With this one, I was left with a feeling of, I cannot even describe it.  I had to re watch to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I was just left in awe.

For seven years, you have left no stone unturned, no character left behind (even poor Chucky).  The growth you have instilled in every person you’ve created shows how people can come full circle in life.  You’ve shown that how one lives life can and will decide their future. Choice is the key. Even being a ‘fierce mother’ can have its consequences, especially when she is blind to the results of her actions. As a fan I believe in my heart that you, your cast and crew deserve far more credit and recognition than you have received. Those who don’t actually know what the show is about, only seeing what is on the surface.  They do not see what is at its core, the human condition. Sex and violence are not what the is from ny point of view.  It is in the subtext, what is underneath the surface, where the true stories lie.

I thank you for 7 years of opening my eyes to another world I normally would never have seen.  With your next endeavour and after that I look forward to new worlds to explore and new stories to keep me entertained.

From a loyal fan.
