I haven’t written a lot in quite a while.  There is so much on social media and in the blogosphere on everything that is Trump, pro and con. After today I cannot just be silent.

Where to begin, this has been either a bad joke or a national tragedy.  Either during his campaign or since January, he just doesn’t seem to understand what he is doing. Trump is going through his day with rose colored blinders on. The world around him is as the sycophants he has surrounded himself with make it. Lies and more lies are all that seem to come from The President and his administration. He has others in the WH, many people that are very good at what they do, but stand too afraid to tell him he is wrong in fear of public humiliation or losing their jobs outright. When they speak publicly, Trump turns around and tells a completely opposite tale.

It has been 116 days since Donald J Trump took the oath of office:

“I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me god.”

The problem is he doesn’t think the Constitution of rule of law applies to him. I don’t think there has been more than a handful of days where his presidency has not been marred in scandal.  99.9% of which has been of his own making.  Tonight, I am watching MSNBC (yes, I am a liberal, center left) and they are talking about ‘The Comey Memo’ and how he shared top secret intel with Russian officials inside the oval office.  According to the New York Times, Former Director James Comey wrote in detail memos of his interactions with President Trump.  This has come out after Trump declared that nothing ever really happened in those meetings, in person and over the phone.  If Comey’s memos prove to be factually accurate, well this will make 3 (possible) impeachment scenarios within my lifetime. What gets me is the either two presidents were well within their 2^nd terms in office.  This one managed to do it in less than his first year.

A friend called The President a “Force of Nature”.  I laughed and walked away.  If I had continued the conversation, I knew I’d have been wasting my time.  I didn’t vote for the man, so I have no qualms about speaking out against him. I have just learned what battles to fight and when  This is a man who spent the first 62 of his 70 years on this earth as a Democrat.  HE IS NOT A DEMOCRAT, OR A REPUBLICAN.  He is the American version of an oligarch.  It’s not about policy.  It’s not about what is best for this country.  It is not what is best for the citizens of this nation. IT’S ABOUT MONEY. It always has been.  He will say whatever he must, to whomever he can, to make himself look good.  Sometimes I wonder if he thinks this is just another Reality TV show. Have you ever noticed how he talks about how he raises ratings when he goes on TV?!!!

Watching or listening to the news scares me just as much as it angers me. How did this nation get to this point  Are people that blind for change that they would allow this to continue?  The fate of our country, and our Constitution, are at stake. I wonder who will be the clear voice who says “ENOUGH!” It won’t be a member of my Party. It will have to be a Republican.  It will need to be the Vice President.

I give it a year, a year until everyone hears the term “Articles of Impeachment”.  That will be a bad day for everyone, no matter who they voted for.
